I restored the deleted beach objects for now (in changeset/151357099) so you can have a renewed look. They might indeed need adjustment regarding the exact geometries and surface based on changes made locally - i have not looked at this from close this year yet.

The beach resort has been mapped with leisure=beach_resort before and after your change, that is not what i am inquiring about. What i would like to know is why you removed the mapping of the loose gravel and stones at the shoreline. That is commonly tagged with natural=beach - no matter if it is a natural occurrence or artificially created (just like natural=water is used both for natural and artificial lakes).

Please consider restoring the deleted mapping. I am sure visitors of the beach appreciate information on the physical nature of the shore here.
