This was a bad edit. The aerial imagery referenced for the edit clearly pre-dates the on-site surveying I did for changeset changeset/172255152 on 2025-09-21. The surface lot at this location has been replaced by the Fontaine Research Park Garage (way/1431722083/history / https://parking.virginia.edu/whats-new/fontaine-research-park-garage).

The way/844694809 parcel—according to the Albemarle County GIS (https://gisweb.albemarle.org) for the address 1085 LYMAN MANSION RD—is owned by the University of Virginia Foundation, which handles real estate acquisitions for UVA. That explains why the area was designated with amenity=college (College Grounds), but of course just because the UVA Foundation owns a property doesn't mean the property is part of the UVA grounds. This property clearly is NOT a part of the UVA grounds and the way should be deleted.
