Hi Kalyan! It's very likely that the restrictions during the Westfield extension were lifted sometime in the past five years. I'll try to see if I have any dashcam footage to verify a more recent state and/or if I can recheck. If you have recent information, can you advise as well?

I don't have recent details about the lane layout from there. It's not incorrect either way, it just helps some navigation tools to show you the approach much better, which is my goal. Of course it all depends on people to modify it whenever the details change, but border checks may not go away very quickly.

The only section that was access:no is the two-lane middle part without customs control, I don't think you can just drive through that, without passing the booths - or is it possible?

I was thinking a building=roof can better represent what people can expect see until we can get (licensable and) more precise aerial pictures, but fair enough.
Are you also sure the main motorway section can actually be accessed?
(that was changed from access:no to access:yes), as opposed to via the checkpoints under the roof

Is there a reason you removed the building outlines that were on the map and are present on the site? (way/844626405 history v1)

Thank you for the clarification! I'll check the speed limits again

Why was the speed limit of 20mph reverted to the incorrect 30mph? I'm driving there every week, and I have video proof that it's still 20mph as of this week for most of the in-town sections of Mill Ln/High Street.

(It still has a 20mph when-lights-flash inside the 20mph section, but 20mph it is)

Also - the Portbury Ln north from B3128 is NOT signed NSL, at no point in time, even though I would expect it to be 60mph as the other direction is.

Of course, it was not my intention. It seems I forgot to save moving node/808673217 after cleanups in the area :/

Hi Nicholas,

The point of these changes is exactly to make sure the information is precise and represent the reality seen, in the form of lane tags (for way/582484466, see lanes, hgv:lanes, motorcar:lanes for example).

Current GPS technology is not reliably capable of distinguishing relative position within a few meters, so if several lanes are nearby, the navigation software cannot help to confirm the right path is taken.

I have a good understanding of the lanes and traffic situation on the location, even the seasonal and peak/non-peak traffic changes, and I do find that the overhead and on-the-road signage is very visible, clear, and helpful.

By using lane tags, the navigation software can be an additional support, reassuringly show that there are 7 lanes, of which the right 2 must be used, which can be quickly understood looking around. Counting the number of parallel roads around one's car is not typically feasible, so it would actually make following navigation more difficult.

Do you have any information if either of the configuration (previous or current) was causing problems for other users?
