almost 7 years ago | Hello, Ferchino83. Thank you for your additions to OSM. I walked this neighborhood this morning and can verify there are traffic lights at the intersections mentioned by Polarbear-repair. Also, the Wiki states, "Junctions on motorways (or similar) serve for orientation and transport at great distances (and not for orientation in the local area)." So, junctions are not needed for a local area. junction=yes
almost 7 years ago | Hello, thank you for your additions to the map. I made some changes here so that you can see how this gate should be mapped. It should actually be tagged as an entrance, with the entrance type as a gate, access=no. The gate would not actually have a name. Thanks :)
almost 7 years ago | Hello :) Just so you know, Poet's Row has already been mapped. You can see it via the link below. If you have any questions, contact me. Thanks way/542521041
almost 7 years ago | Thanks :) I did a bunch of searching online at the city's official website, but didn't find anything. I'll keep looking. Cheers ;)
almost 7 years ago | Thanks :) I went through the same thought process myself. If an apartment complex is just one building, it's easy. But, if there are numerous buildings, this would seem to be the best option. Cheers :)
almost 7 years ago | Hi, thanks for the reply :) I think we're talking about two different things. I totally agree these should be tagged as houses. I'm referring to the residential area that surrounded the 16 buildings here designating them as the Pine Apartments. It was deleted. way/329978965/history
almost 7 years ago | Howdy ;) Thank you for your additions to the map. Just in case you weren't aware, some of the addresses added here popped up as errors because the minimum requirements for addresses are 1) a street number and 2) a street name. You can see the wiki here. Thanks :) addr=*
almost 7 years ago | Hello, thank you for your additions to the map. The proposed road you added here popped up as an error. The tagging should be: highway=proposed and proposed=residential. You can see this in the wiki: highway=proposed Thanks :)
almost 7 years ago | Hello, just a reminder, there are still quite a few errors here. "Street" should not be abbreviated as "St." Could you correct your errors here? Thanks :)
almost 7 years ago | Howdy :) Thank you for your additions to the map. Just so you know, your additions of Dunkin' Donuts and Tokyo Joe's popped up as errors. The problem is that in OSM we don't use abbreviations. Street would not be "St.", Avenue would not be "Ave.", Boulevard would not be "Blvd"., etc. Also, I think you meant to address these on East Lincoln Avenue, not simply Lincoln Avenue. Could you correct these? Thanks! :)
almost 7 years ago | Never mind. The street was named incorrectly. It's been corrected. Thanks
about 7 years ago | Greetings :) Thank you for your addition to the map. I see you have added an office for Dr. Andrew N Fedorowicz, MD. The address you listed is on South Roslyn Street., but the office you created seems to be on South Syracuse Street? Is this correct? Thanks :)
about 7 years ago | Good morning :) Thank you for your work on the OSM map. I see here you deleted the residential tag for the Pine Apartments. Are these no longer the Pine Apartments? Have they become something else? Thanks :)
about 7 years ago | Thanks for following up :)
about 7 years ago | I'd say that's pretty good detective work. I'll wait to hear back from jjyach. Thanks ;)
about 7 years ago | Howdy, thank you for your additions to the map. I'm wondering about "Diesel Repair & Performance" which you've addressed as being on Pine Lane. I don't see a Pine Lane anywhere near here. Also, the node is place in an area of grass. Is this correct? Thank you :)
about 7 years ago | Howdy. I'm cleaning up some OSM Inspector-tagged errors. An untagged node here popped up as needing to be corrected. It's not clear as to what this is. Thanks :) https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=tagging&lon=-105.59430&lat=41.31432&zoom=14&overlays=nodes_with_empty_k,ways_with_empty_k,nodes_with_empty_v,ways_with_empty_v,node_tags_with_whitespace,way_tags_with_whitespace,node_with_unusual_char,way_with_unusual_char,node_with_short_or_long_key,way_with_short_or_long_key,nonop_confusion_on_nodes,nonop_confusion_on_ways,no_feature_tag_nodes,no_feature_tag_ways,ways_without_tags
about 7 years ago | Hi :) The issue is that the houses imported here are not attached to the map. They're like islands that are isolated from the rest of the world. They need to be attached to the map; attached to the road in front of them. The road in front of them is named Chicago Creek Road, but they are listed as being on another road; Highway 103. For example, if I create a house that sits on Mulberry Lane, but I give the house an address of 105 Broadway Street, then the house is addressed incorrectly. Either the street name is incorrect or the house address is incorrect. For the map to function correctly, the house address and the street name have to match up. In this case, the house addresses that were created don't match up to the road in front of them. Do you see what I'm getting at? Cheers :)
