@woodpeck

Hi Frederik,

First of all, I am going to desist from further changes regarding Turkish places until there's an agreement whether it is OK to proceed.

To elaborate regarding "java agent v2". Contents of all these changes is prepared manually (as in not programatically and certainly not AI), and upload is done through a simple java tool I prepared just to avoid repetitive work. I probably should've named the user agent better, and I'll do that.

Regarding the meritum of these changes, I understand why they may seem odd, however due to phonetic traits of Serbian language these changes actually do bring real value to Serbian speaking map users. For instance, Serbian speaker not familiar with Turkish language won't have any good idea how to read name "Hacımuslu", but "Хаџимуслу" helps anyone to read and pronounce it correctly.

Main motivation for these edits is to be utilised for localized map display in Serbian Wikipedia. Here's an example:

https://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A7%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BB%D1%83

Regarding the source, I used official rules for transcribing of Turkish names to Serbian, published in Serbian Ortography. As I mentioned, transcription is a major feature of Serbian language and there are pretty detailed rules for various languages. Source for the relevant section is available here:

https://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%BF%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B8%D1%98%D0%B0:%D0%A2%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%BF%D1%86%D0%B8%D1%98%D0%B0_%D1%81%D0%B0_%D1%82%D1%83%D1%80%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B3_%D1%98%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0

I made these changes in good faith and assuming that they don't harm anyone as localized names are displayed only to users that explicitly turn them on (and choose Serbian language). I accept the complaint that I should've discussed with Turkish community. I will open a discussion on Turkish channel.

Thanks,
Goran Obradovic

@mcliquid I mostly transcribed the names myself in accordance with the official rules for transcription from Russian language in Serbian Ortography[1]. For some names transcription is pretty easy Шаля -> Шаља), but for those where I had doubts I either double-checked which transcription was used on Serbian Wikipedia or if the transcription was missing on Wikipedia I skipped the name to try to avoid making mistakes.

Got it. I'll try to confine changes to smaller administrative units. Cheers

Hey. I don't have any special information, but according to this article[1], this road should connect with corridor Vc near Zenica (not sure exactly where).
