Hello! Good question. There is a sign on the end of Maggies Lane on Peases Point Way that says "Private Way." It is visible on 2019 Google Map street view (and in person).

I am coming at this from a pedestrian/biking perspective. When I see the "private" yellow placard placed with a green street sign, that signals to me that I shouldn't be there. I guess I grew up in a place where "private" means someone is going to call the cops, or worse, when they see you. Perhaps 'access=permissive' would be better?
