Google search says it should be 2920

This one in particular I climbed many years ago after ascending Bluerock. It's nothing special. It's a straightforward scramble SW along the ridge from Bluerock. Nothing to write home about, a nice addition to the Bluerock scramble. I didn't think much about it at the time. The name obviously references being halfway between Burns and Bluerock.

Keep in mind there are a lot of people out there who don't post trip reports on the internet, don't place summit registers and don't use summit registers. Me included, I don't care about any of that stuff. I do, however, enjoy using and updating the open map.

I have climbed a TON of random shit in the rockies that I have named random things on OSM across the years, mostly because it didn't have a name on the map previously. This one is no different. I noticed it was otherwise unnamed when I was going thru the Jones book last year.

Please stop obsessing over the peak names on OSM, ultimately it is a public database with no hard rules on who can add what. I started editing the map over 12 years ago and I have probably added 90+% of the peak names and routes in the Canadian Rockies. At that time there were next to NO peak names or routes on the map. I have always tried to add the well known names for mountains but then make up my own sometimes too when there's no good info available. I didn't realize this would eventually become such a contentious issue for some.

It is an unofficial name used by those who have seen and/or climbed the mountain. There are absolutely no hard rules on naming things, there are plenty of mountains called "Mount Somethingrandom". We seem to like naming Mounts after battleships in Kananaskis.

Also note people will often name things without actually having climbed it. Take some of the most famous mountains in the rockies Mount Assiniboine, Mount Temple, Castle Mountain etc as examples.

Mountain names come and go, what we name the mountains are not what the Stoney people named the mountains. Somebody arbitrarily names it and it sticks. The name really does not matter (in reality you are naming a physical loose pile of rocks), apart from the fact that these days people will use the name to talk about the mountain (and provide trip reports etc). So it usually doesn't make sense to change the name that somebody has already given something as it can lead to confusion.

This is not relevant for mountain scrambling routes which have little to no trail visibility. Completely removing the original source information makes it very difficult to trace back the source of the data, which can be very helpful in many circumstances. At the very least, keep the original source info in addition to whatever changes you want to make.

It is not appropriate to grade Canadian climbing routes with UIAA grades. We have no idea what UIAA grades or SAC scale grades mean. In Canada we use the Yosemite Decimal System (YDS) for grading.

Rating this as UIAA grade 4 will likely be confused as a YDS class 4 route, which is VERY different and could lead some people into thinking this route is easier than it actually is.

I suggest you either remove the UIAA grading or replace it with YDS grading.

Why did you change the source on this route?? Knowing the source is a helpful piece of information which can help people find more details online.

The location of the track is correct. It's a mountain scramble, not a bike route

No they're not, I literally named these. What I called Porcupine Tower is shown in the correct location.

The lake doesn't exist, it's always dry. It used to be a lake but now it's not. So yes, the route goes straight through the middle of the old lake.
