This is what GreplusLy5525Buenavista said is a small turning bay, while I thought it's a car park. Nevertheless, in both cases it's public bitumen until the cliff.
I don't know who owns the land in parallel west of the cliff. If this is public, then yes potentially the track could be realigned.
On the other hand, if there's a strip of private land going all the way parallel to the cliff, there's no option to do so. This needs to be clarified.

Can you please clarify which part of the walking track is private? As the lower part near the creek seems to be in the Wilson Glen Park, and as such public. Also the track ends at a public car park next to the road.
And when I was walking it, there were even old trail marks along the track. Thus, I thought it's a public track.

There were cairns and wooden poles/sticks along the way. Quite sparsely, but still existing. Furthermore, as there are no bushes around, no marking tape was applied, which would be common for similar classed walking tracks.
So I regarded it as a walking track.
