Hi Andy. Very odd. Have fixed the tags now so it should be ok.

Hello Matthias,

Thanks for your note. I've been back and looked at the unclassified highway that I think you were referring to.

Further north the road does a poor job of approximating a road that I can see on the ground, so I've now moved it to be more accurate.

Towards the south, I agree, it's a complete mystery - the road doesn't seem to correspond to anything at all on the ground. So I've deleted that section.

Alas I don't remember creating this section of road so I can't explain why it was done so badly! Perhaps it was indeed the cat, or maybe I did it while I was sleeping. I guess I will never know...

Hopefully it's fixed now anyway.

Regards,
Alan

Something clearly visible on the bing layer. Google Street View for that spot is 6 years old, and it's not visible on there.

You don't *have* to survey it! But if you feel the need to, go ahead!

Hi - I had a look on Google Street View at both ends of the route. It's a narrow farm road but has a good surface. I've added it as a service road, but with the original footpath way still there in the same place. I'm never quite sure - with public footpaths that are also roads - what the best way to represent them in OSM is. Do you know anything about this?

Thanks.

Hi - yes it is, I guess I forgot to label it as such. Now fixed. Alan.
