almost 2 years ago | Another example of very intermittent stream is a very small, short stream named Kijac on the Island of Krk near the village of Malinska. The islands of Krk, Cres, Rab, Brač, Hvar and on the peninsula of Pelješac have many intermittent streams, some of which have names. The islands of Mljet, Korčula and Vis have just a few very intermittent streams.
almost 2 years ago | Even very intermittent streams are able to create characteristic valleys on the surface of the Earth, and the creation of the valleys happen during long geological periods. Almost all natural rivers and streams have their valleys. Some extremely intermittent streams even have names, like Vriakule 1, Vriakule 2 and Vriakule 3 on the island of Krk, above the town of Punat. They flow on the surface of the Earth and disappear thru the surface, probably flowing into some caves and appear back below the surface of the sea, as cold non-salty springs. I saw such springs with my own eyes too, the springs created by intermittent streams.
almost 2 years ago | Here is the explanation. The streams I added back literally have tunnels beneath the roads, so they do not cross roads. There are tunnels on other places as well, e.g. beneath some buildings, but the buildings are often drawn off their real place even dozens of meter off, so it looks like the streams cross the buildings, or the drawn streams are drawn over the buildings by mine or someone else's mistakes. Those tunnels beneath the roads are on the dgu.hr: Topo 25 new. I added those tunnels not because I want to, but because they are on the source map, the dgu.hr: Topo 25 new. Such very intermittent streams really exist. I saw such streams with my own eyes during heavy rain thunderstorms. One such stream, a very small short stream, flooded the interior of a hotel where I have been worked, because the hotel is builded on the path of that extremely intermittent stream. Some intermittent streams flow below the surface of the Earth on multiple places and appear back on multiple places as tiny springs or tiny tiny waterfalls :)
almost 2 years ago | Oh yes, they exist. If you don't believe, just go to the valleys those streams created during violent heavy rain thunderstorms :) Ofcourse, if you dare to go there during very loud thunder, heavy rain, hurricane winds and lightnings :)
almost 2 years ago | Actually I added those streams back. If an intermittent stream exist very rarely, that does not mean they never exist.
almost 2 years ago | Or you can revert your deletions of streams I added. People must know about the very existence of the streams you deleted. Deleting the streams I added is a loss of relevant informations. The streams I added do not exist during light or moderate rain, but exist during thunderstorms with a heavy rain. I am not an OpenStreetMap Deletionist, I am an OpenStreetMap Inclusionist.
almost 2 years ago | And I am still active here. My activity here is very intermittent, just like those streams you deleted.
almost 2 years ago | And such intermittent streams are the very cause of the existence of valleys like this one you had been marked. During long geological periods, even a rarely occuring intermittent stream erode the ground, making a typical stream valley on the face of the Earth.
almost 2 years ago | I added those streams from dgu.hr: Topo 25 new. Those streams are intermittent. They occur very rarely. They occur only when the weather is very rainy, e.g., during thunderstorms with a heavy rain, when the ground cannot absorb so much wather from the thubderstorm heavy rain. That is why those intermittent streams are not visible on the satellite map. There are many such intermittent streams accross the Croatian islands, mainland coast and the interior of Croatia, and accross the world. Some of such streams can even convert to a sudden torrent and even cause floods in villages or towns during violent thunderstorms with heavy rain. So, I woult like to add those intermittent streams back, because, despite they rarely occur in reality, they occur under specific weather conditions like thunderstorms with a heavy rain.

almost 4 years ago | "that are in none", sorry
almost 4 years ago | Other trails with "fix me" request that are not of none of the reliable government maps, I will search with my own eyes.
almost 4 years ago | Those trails are on the maps of the Državna geodetska uprava, Republika Hrvatska. If that government institution lies, than that is frightening.
