Hi Dhruv,

A few days ago I had changed the India-Nepal-China boundaries based on the understanding from sources like Wikipedia and Nepalese newspapers/websites that India is de facto in control and has administration of these disputed areas and that Nepal has called for dialogue with India to resolve this issue of disputed borders. What is your source based on which you have reverted the borders to indicate that Nepal is in de facto control of these areas?

Hi Ro Sun,
This is a disputed area between India and Nepal. It is de facto under Indian control. You can see the boundary of India in the Survey of India maps or any map of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state, India. The boundary shown as per Survey Department of Nepal would indicate the extent of claim of Nepal in this area. The area around Lipu Lekh pass is de facto under India.

Apologies for the change. I mistakenly thought the disputed boundary was further to the west. Apparently, a big portion of the Jigme Khesar Reserve is claimed by China. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

BTW, I'm not an American. I don't know where you got that from.

Cheers,
