I have now reverted all my name additions on the A1 motorway sections. The name tags have been removed, and only the ref=A1 remains, as is the correct practice for Romanian highways without an official name.

I also understand now why descriptive names like "Autostrada Lugoj–Deva" are not verifiable, have no consistent convention, and cause problems for data users. I should have consulted the OSM Romania community first.

I'm sorry for the extra work this caused you and for ignoring the existing local consensus.

Hi! I understand your point and you are absolutely right. Highways or dual carriageways should have the same name in both directions for consistency, as that’s the standard in OSM. There is no need to assign different names. I have also corrected my mistake on the rest of the highway to keep everything consistent. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for pointing it out.
