Looks like the pavement is a shared cycleway/footway, but the paint hasn't been put down yet.

No sign of any marked cycle paths/lanes at all (not near Lidl anyway. The only thing I saw was that the crossing lights have cycle symbols as well as the little green man.

Nope. I paid attention to the road signs as I drove through, but if there was a cycle path I didn't notice it. Will look out next time.
