osm.wiki/Foundation/Local_Chapters/United_States/Pedestrian_Working_Group/Guide
gives a good description on sidewalks, crossings and related stuff.

Btw. the new 2025 Oakland County aerials are out, which you might want to use instead of the 2023 version. Though seems iD hasn't updated the default layers yet

Hey Trail_Caretaker,
it seems, you have joined in this change set a couple of ways, which had different tags. Especially the cycleway along Long Lake Road was split in sections to separate the sidepath from the crossing sections.

I fixed this in changeset/177200060.

Hey jaspinal, please review your changes. It seems you mass-edited those cycle paths. A lot of ways which should be either footway=crossings or cycleway=crossing are now falsely tagged as footway=sidewalk.

Please take more care while editing in the future and review each element one-by-one.

I don't care which key used for the timezones in Germany, but please keep the standard time zone as well as the dst-zone.

@EvanSiroky, it seems you are not plannign to remove that historcal data, so I did it for you.

176723605 14 days ago

Hey EvanSiroky, OSM is not the proper location to store historical data. Please remove this relation. You might want to maintain it within OHM project.

Hallo OMME-OSM,

Thanks for the hint. I updated the areas accordingly.

route=bicycle#Members
as well just "allowing" ways in route-relations and recommends for longer routes route=bicycle#Split_routes_into_sections
the usage of superroute to combine the sections.
Read "international" in the context of the rest of the world, where a route of 1000 miles length is usually international.

You don't need superduperroute. superroute contains relations, route contains ways and nodes (aka geometry). It's not about hierarchy of different levels.

Maybe I'm misunderstand osm.wiki/Relation:route#Members

but at least as I read it, a route-relation suppose to contains ways and nodes, only the role "information" is intended for relations.

Do you have a better fit? For me village_green was the best fit.
