Hello Andrew. I'm interested in how quickly you detected these changes. I would like to hear about what method you are using to do so. I see that highway=cycleway has been changed to highway=footway. This will stop the path being rendered in opencylemap.org correctly (and other maps). Thanks for reminding of those. Was just checking out how they rendered in OpenCycleMap. I've now taken them out. It will take about two weeks before they disappear off the map.

The numbers show how bike navigation is done in Belgium, Netherlands, etc. Just seeing how it could work in Melbourne:
