Thanks for suggesting. Better than nothing so added as a node.

Hi, Thank you for your contribution.
you should describe what you did in changeset description instead of some hash tags which describe noting.

and also you should take smaller segment of area to edit at a time.
thanks.

Hi, thanks, I don't know the size of it, and also it isn't visible from satellite imagery. and more to add, it has car, bicycle, and motorbike parking in one place.

Hi, Welcome to OSM.
You should add meaningful description to change set description. 'edit' describe nothing.

Also you have removed the English name while adding the bangle name. You shouldn't remove the English name, rather you should put that in name:en tag. Best is keeping tagging like this:
name=bangla name
name:bn=same as name
name:en=english name
please fix those.

Hi, Welcome to OSM.
You should add meaningful description to change set description. 'edit' describe nothing.

Like you can describe the reason for deleting the [way/729873934](https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/729873934)

Hi, welcome to Open Street Map.
Thank you so much for contributing to OSM. You did great.

One thing to remember,
Please do not add English name in the name=* field, always use name=* for Bengali name and name:en=* for English name.

A whole standard entry would include:

name=<Bangla>
name:bn=<Bangla>
name:en=<English>

see:
osm.wiki/Multilingual_names#Bangladesh

But, if you can't write in local language because of technical problems, you can keep that in English, no problem. That's not wrong too. But standard is, adding local language in name filed, and other languages in name:{lang_code} fields.

Thank you so much, keep mapping, don't get lost.

Hi Mehedi Hasan,
Please don't remove the Bengli name from name tag. According to the

> "It makes the map unusable for us the daily"
I use OSM as my primary map. I found no problem using it as Bangla. Rather I found it more usable. Some apps don't render properly, like OSMAnd, Also Maps.me, but it is because of the font embebed in that app. Ask the app developer to fix it.

> "To my knowledge, we the OpenStreetMap community in Bangladesh never knew about this policy nor agreed to use it."

It can be, may be because you have missed this:
osm.wiki/Multilingual_names#Bangladesh
From this: osm.wiki/Names#Localization

>"We in the community always add English name in `name` tag and Bengali name in `name:bn` tag. I would advice you to follow that or we would be forced to revert them."

Don't do that. You can correct others humbly if they do mistake, you are welcomed to do that. we all do mistakes. But removing/reverting because of adding local name as primary name will be Data [Vandalism](osm.wiki/Vandalism)

Thanks.

71032504 over 6 years ago

Probably this is why you have missed this line:
railway=station#Things_to_avoid
> Using the word "station" in the name=* if it is not part of the name printed on signs at the station, i.e. avoid name=Station Newton

then, I better remove the addr:town tag (or change it to city), and add a post code which is assigned for Madan Subdistrict. (still it is for sub district. I wanted to go a bit deeper.)

hi,
you have changed way/596857624, 596857627, 596857613, 596857620
value from highway=path to highway=residential.
are you sure about it? those are residential, not path?

Keep mapping , I'm just a mapper like you :)

72837327 over 6 years ago

Hi, thanks for pointing. so, should I remove addr:town tag? or change it to city? IT IS A town, not a city. it mimics the area, cause sub district is far more larger area than town. I thought any place: value can be added as addr.
