Ok i like it like that. Thank you. I try to keep things correct. Just focusing on airports. Several issues on other airports are dual definition of runways (i understand from my learning curve that it has changed in OSM from surface to centerline) so sometimes it's duplicated fro the same airport. Other issues are coming from "runway" being used for a single object covering taxiway and parkings, i try to reallocate things correctly.
No SW can accommodate from so many variations. i asked to be able to use "disused:aeroway=runway" when it's a rectangle (that accomodate for the main cases).
I know those RAF WWII airports are kind of exception, but there are still listed even disused.

Instead of removing eveything, you should have used disused:aeroway which should have been better and be consistent with aeronautic databases that still reference the airport. I am new to OSM but i am not impressed at all by that behaviour, this is a relational object database that is meant to map by objects by nature, whereas several areas are mapped by surface nature which bring nothing to anyone except colorimetry. anyway i have it locally.
