over 2 years ago | Hello FenyMufyd, I changed the classification of this connecting way from trunk_link to service since it serves as the main junction here. Since this way is not cutting a corner of the intersection, I believe service makes sense over trunk_link based on the Highway Link OSM Wiki page: osm.wiki/Highway_link#At-grade_intersections. Happy Mapping!
over 3 years ago | Hi antonr, Thanks for letting me know & adding more details to the coastline. I agree with the usage of the SDFE terrain map & will ensure to use it effectively, especially for aligning coastlines near cliffs. Happy mapping!
over 3 years ago | Hi Apay00, I have found your recent edits near Tanjung Uban port where you have changed the highway classification from service to platform. Based on OSM Wiki (highway=platform) a platform is a "raised structure along the side of a road.” Instead, I feel it is more appropriate if you use the public_transport=platform tag for the pier, which gives the facility to ferry route. Let me know if you agree, and if so I’d like to update those ways back to service roads. Also, I noticed t a few untagged ways (way/1052461852, way/1052461851, way/1052461850, way/1052461849) in this changeset, which are potentially storage tanks (man_made=storage_tank). Let me know what you think, Happy Mapping!
over 4 years ago | Hi kartonage, thank you for the additional info here, that’s super interesting! I’ve restored the node with the island name tag, thanks for the suggestion.
over 4 years ago | Hi Frans. Thanks for changing way/644513264 and way/644507542 to path. They were added by a different mapper as footway in 2018, and I agree that path is better for these ways.
