P.S. a decent editor such as yourself who is a leader in matters of such recording should be able to insist on a bot-edit of all such now deprecated recordings, if that is indeed what they are; obviously they are from your manner and writing rather than fixing, totally not liked any more.

Also be bold and just fix; rather than moan about what is a one-off edit; it's terribly hands-off an approach for such a one-off, small fix, to pick up a keyboard and start writing laments.

i was copying an earlier format seen in East Acton, a brief distance to the west. Obviously in the ministry of constant change that style is now (obsolete/dated/deprecated) take your pick. So I would suggest you go about imposing current style to the precedent first before you try to dictate it to people who are just copying the nearby precedent. Seriously, precedent in such a work that looks good should be followable; fix stuff that's wrong here first before blaming ostensibly excellent good faith editing.
