The first bit looks like how I thought I had added anyway. Prior to editing the path was listed as going through a gate on Moor Lane a little further West. So I removed that and put in the new path along with the three stiles. That's what I found when I walked it, and it also aligns the OS map.

The gap possibly appeared after I removed the connecting path on Moor Lane that went through a padock gate lightly more to the West.

All looks good now anyway.
