Please do not delete the names of the farms. Yes, they are family names, but they are also important landmarks here locally. Sure, in Colorado a farm is more likely to be called “Blue Mountain Ranch” ;-) but in northern Namibia we are happy when there are entries in OSM that reflect the local conditions. Thank you!

Thank you for your message!

I have no particular interest - I just noticed that farmland and fences were marked that are not visible on the aerial photos (which I can view).

But if there is already farming there I would rather use the tag “place ... plot”.

All not so important, best regards!

What is your source for the farmland and fence at this point? With curious greetings

Local knowledge is always good, I look forward to your contributions!

Are these really public toilets, i.e. open to the public (for everyone)? I see numerous entries like this from you in Kilimanjaro/Windhoek ...

Let's call it a hamlet (added tag place_hamlet).

Hello Kartiernix,

yes, that's for sure: this road does not exist.

Of course, Digital Namibia is very helpful, but the layer "Transportation Networks" also uses plans that are often to be understood as declarations of intent.

Googlemaps also takes over all planning and has the habit to show such desired road connections (here specifically: a District Road to Khaudum National Park, whose access is being improved in the north) as already existing.

The reason I made the correction, by the way, was that a friend from Odangwa was there and was glad to have four-wheel drive in his car south of Kandjara. The reception at Cwiba River was lonely but still exists.

Many greetings, Sandy
