Hello DaveF,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with me. In imagery I saw there were paint markings for traffic to leave and enter Lansdown Lane. The geometry was split in order to support the directionality of that roadway and the paint markings that is present in imagery.

Best regards,
Andrew

Hello DaveF,
Thank you for reaching out. The purpose of the edit was to separate the ways based upon imagery and using the instructions of the MapRoulette challenge, “one way to be divided into two separate ways”. (https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/39161)
Have a nice day,
Andrew

Hello  Diógenes de Sinope,
Thank you for reaching out. As I understand the osm wiki on culverts and bridges (tunnel=culvert , bridge=*), the culvert is a -1 layer under ground. Thus, as a man made object that is below the ground layer, no bridge or layer tag is needed for a road that goes over the culvert. Where the lower feature is surrounded by earth then the lower feature should probably be tagged using tunnel=*.
Please enjoy the rest of your day,
Andrew
