The connecting pathway you mentioned was created after the separation of another path (way/1345994827), which was previously linked in changeset/160576889. Our objective in this case was to resolve crossing pathways and to introduce pedestrian crossings that had not yet been added. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, and I have now removed the connecting walkway. This was an oversight that we should have identified, and I will make every effort to prevent similar errors in the future.

Thanks for your reply. Since it is a private residence, I removed the name tag since having inhabitants names on their homes is seen as a privacy issue and generally discouraged in OSM. This wiki page provides more details: osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information
