This path appears to be egress for Salford City Council land. It isn't connected to the A580 or the cycleway alongside it - that's fenced off. Does it continue as a non-right of way beneath the road and out the other side?

BBC reports 12 August 2019 that the water has been reduced to 10% of capacity. Reports that it will remain at this level or lower until dam is repaired - this could be months or years.
