Hi Dave. The Milton Keynes grid road network has its own numbering system of H and V numbers, H for Horizontal and V for Vertical. These are shown on nameplates and directional signs. I can take photos of the signs if you like or you can clearly see them in Google Earth imagery (and Google Maps also shows the V and H numbers).
