| 117367129 | almost 4 years ago | Hello Zelonewolf, Thank you for explaining the different ref tagging you used for the ways and route relation. I can understand the reasoning behind specifying the network as its own tag and I do see that indicated in the “Examples on relations” section here (ref=*#Examples_on_relations).
Thanks,

| 117367129 | almost 4 years ago | Hello ZeLonewolf, Thank you for the response! Distinguishing Mexico State refs from Federal refs is a topic of discussion in the community. Here is a conversation between our team and mdelatorre (changeset/109486687). The discussion considers using ref tags “MEX”, “MEXICO”, and “EM” to differentiate federal and state signage. There is no consensus yet and they may be used inconsistently until policy is finalized. The northern portion of state route 2 was in OSM previously, but INEGI (http://gaia.inegi.org.mx/mdm6) shows it ends at Highway 134 (way/771587029). So maybe the ref should end there. Thanks for adding ref=MEX 2 back in! Is there a reason you added the relation as ref=2 rather than “MEX 2"? It is my understanding that the format between ways and relations should match. When it comes to the BCS 1 / MEX 1 routes, INEGI shows BCS 1 on ways way/54672949, way/915616053, and way/28785401 so I believe it is the appropriate tag. It also looks like MEX 1 is shown on this way (way/287842250) that branches from the main route to Manuel Márquez de León International Airport (way/136646350). Were there other specific questions about these that I can take a look at? Thanks,

| 117367129 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, ZeLoneWolf. I noticed in this changeset that you removed ref=MEX 2 from the primary that goes from this way (way/771587035) at the northern end to this way (way/300568314) at the southern end. Checking the Mexican government’s INEGI data (http://gaia.inegi.org.mx/mdm6/?s=MTM3NjA2NjQ=) it looks like state highway 2 for the state of Mexico is correct here, is there a reason you removed it? I also noticed similar removals of MEX 1 and BCS 1 in this changeset (changeset/117366526), where INEGI (http://gaia.inegi.org.mx/mdm6/?s=MTM3NjA2NjI=) still shows the refs. Is there an updated resource for these refs that I could be aware of, or maybe new ground level imagery that shows the changes? And here is more about INEGI too: osm.wiki/INEGI Thanks,

| 101356517 | almost 5 years ago | Thank you for the message Bert Araali. It appears one node was moved in Turkey while I was editing in Brazil. I will be sure to localize my future edits to smaller changesets. In regards to the service roads, I removed the driveway tag from way/836778490 since driveways typically branch from main roads, and these roads act as the main through-roads for the complex. In regards to the alignment, I aligned the roads to Mapbox since both GPS traces and Strava align to this imagery. Thanks. |
