| 170353081 | Hi Julcnx, sorry for late reply, lots of work on my side. I totally understand the issues. As you're very active on Thai OSM, I let you judge the relevant course of action. I would understand if you remove the track I've added on the Thai side of the border. No hard feeling, promised. You know best what's happening in Thailand than I do. Coffee on me in Angkor when you come visit ! :) |

| 170353081 | Hi Julcnx, Thank you for your kind message. I totally understand your initial concern and will be explaining below my reasons and methodology. I've been living and working in Northwest Cambodia since 2002, involved in various projects here in humanitarian demining, environment and archaeology. I have an indepth knowledge of the northwestern border of Cambodia, its villages and paths, many of which I've travelled on my dirtbike. I've spent the last 20 years travelling across these provinces for work. Years of living and working here allow me to understand satellite imageries much better than another beginner user mapping features from sats without ever stepping in the country. After discussing with imiii and other users about the state of Cambodia's map, it was agreed that many roads, buildings, ponds, bridges were missing from the map. The data gap would complicate the work of local and international organisations and administrations organising evacuation and humanitarian help delivery, especially how to reach the most remote housings. I'm an intense contributor to HOTOSM where we use multiple sat imagery to map features, especially roads and buildings. And I used a similar method for this exercice, crosschecked as often as possible with Sentinel-2, checking if roads were seasonal or permanent across years, also checking with Mapillary imagery when available. I truly believe that all the features I've added are permanent features on the ground, though a series of them might have been destroyed over the last six months on both sides of the border. I'm mapping paths and buildings for humanitarian reasons and access, regardless of ownership or political side. Also, I've hardly added any feature in Thailand as most of my edit were initially mass-removed by Thai users trying to maintain a fog of war around the border. My interest is humanitarian before all. I'm sad to see that Thailand's side of the border is lacking a lot of features clearly visible on satellite imageries. But if you are certain that the features I've added in Thailand don't exist, not that they should be removed because they haven't been traced by GPX, I'm afraid this area of Thailand will remain a blank slate for years to come. I totally understand the routing problem - maybe these roads could be tagged as Access=no until ground-checked the next time someone rides there. Feel free to contact me privately if you want. Or come to Siem Reap for a coffee someday. My treat. |

| 176865040 | You deleted the tags for the actual area of water and added intermittent for the whole area - I'll revert so it actually reflects ground reality : water to the west, ricefield to the east. Also it appears the information you copy-pasted from a private website, which isn't the official website for the structure. See the change you made to the water area: way/995153069/history/5 As much as contributions are rare and much valued in Cambodia |
|
| 176865040 | The use of "intermittent water" for the west baray is incorrect as more than half of it is under water all year long. Please revert. |

| 168820636 | This one is on Ortho but has been removed as of 25-7-25 as per my field survey today |

| 167573441 | Hi V, trying to understand why you deleted some of the buildings I added yesterday? What was the issue ? |
|
| 147035835 | It was the way I used to tag dropzones when they started being implemented in Brussels - in order to easily relocate/change all the dropzones when they had a proper tag, I marked them as floor/customers only as they're not supposed to be used for private bicycles, only shared micromobility. All the dropzones I added should be changed to whatever tag system OSM.be as now selected. |

| 145045595 | Mapcomplete Cyclofix has an option to add cycling parking, including photo and detailed info :) https://mapcomplete.org/cyclofix.html |
|
| 145045595 | Hi - can you add more details when you add nodes such as bicycle parkings? Not knowing the type, capacity or having no picture makes it difficult to see if it's a new one or one that had ben previously added. I.e. this node, very close to two other existing similar bike_parkings. Thanks ! :) |

| 145266806 | Thanks ! |

| 118446225 | Hi Bear, well, I had multiple meetings with ANB about this - it is an archaelogical feature, not an official path. In the Flemish Sonian Forest, unless it's on the official maps and there's a sign at the beginning and end of that line that says it's allowed to use it by foot or on a bike, it's not an official path and its use is forbidden. Feel free to confirm with info@arboretum-tervuren.be. You can also check the management plan, page 609 - it's not marked as a path. https://www.natuurenbos.be/sites/default/files/beheerplan_zonienwoud.pdf I will inform ANB of this exchange so they can clarify. |
|
| 120424401 | Unfortunately it's still visible in the forest as used by regulars, so should be mapped. But forest rangers need to block access physically. |
|
| 120424401 | As per regulations in Flanders, only paths officially recognised by forest authorities are allowed. These are not marked as allowed (no sign, no post, no name). I updated the map at their request. Feel free to discuss with ANB, their office is just near the Forest Museum of Groenendaal. |

| 135752581 | Absolutely. Didn't know you had a theme for that too. |
