The University building contains classrooms, cabin trainers, simulators, pool for training on escape rafts, and other training stuff. It does have an office on the 3rd floor, but that's a minor function of it.

The Lodge is essentially a private hotel for employees while they're there for training. I put that as a building=dormitory since I thought "hotel" would be confusing as it is not open to public booking.

Company:aerospace specifically refers to those companies involved in the manufacture of aircraft or aerospace components, which JetBlue definitely does not do.

Prior to my change it was just an unlabeled "building" so I feel like this is a slight improvement, but I share your frustration that there isn't something more fitting. Every option seems overbroad or incorrect.

I considered making it some kind of private educational thing, but that's misleading because that indicates that someone could come off the street and pay tuition for it. SimCom just built a facility at the Lake Nona area just South of the airport. It's not on any aerial photographs yet so it's not mapped. I'm not sure how that'll be categorized. Flight Safety International just North of Columbus airport in Ohio is also building=commercial.

SimCom and FSI are more open to the public than JBU is since anyone with tuition money and a fresh background check can get training. With JBU, they have to hire you.

United Airlines training center in Houston is "building." Their training center in Denver is "building=commercial."

I figure this is as consistent as I can get. *shrug*

This website has a lot of pictures of the facility.

Technically, no, because it's not a University in the normal sense. JBU is the crew training facility for JetBlue Airways. It's not a school that someone could enroll in like a Florida State University. It also has some Flight Operations management offices as well.
