Hello secondaryhighway, thanks for reaching out. When I made this classification change, my intention was to start the motorway at a junction (node/4649101913) which is typically done in OSM. I appreciate you posting that Mapillary link showing the motorway-ending sign. I was not aware that these signs correlated to the highway classification in OSM since it is not noted on the Iran Tagging Rules page on the OSM Wiki (osm.wiki/Fa:Iran/Tagging_rules).

I’m happy to go with your classification choice since you are a local to the area. How would you feel about adding a note about this to the above Wiki page so this is documented?
