I previously moved the traffic signals on Ocean Parkway service road intersections to affect only the cross streets because there are no physical signal heads there.

However, despite there being no actual signals, it seems drivers on the service road cannot always proceed after stopping at the stop sign and must obey the signals on the main road (or even the pedestrian signals) for practical and safety reasons.

No, it's not a designated historical district, but it's not exactly a proper neighborhood either. It's an old name for this area which is nowadays usually considered to be part of the nearby Kensington neighborhood.

I mostly intended to just move the imported node node/158851236 to the correct location.

I used that initially, however I wasn't paying attention and reverted them in the wrong order resulting in some errors in the changeset tags here: changeset/164444118

Since https://revert.monicz.dev only allows reverting a maximum of 3 changesets at a time for users with less then 500 changesets on their account, in order to revert 8 changesets I would have needed to do 3 separate reverts with a minute or so wait in between to let the overpass server it uses for calculating reverts sync with the osm server. So it would not have been that easy.

I also tried https://revert.osmz.ru but it said my revert was "too big."

With https://github.com/Zverik/simple-revert I was able to revert everything in one go, though it did take a very long time to calculate the reverts.

Your edits do not reflect reality. Buildings should be tagged with the building tag, not as parks.

Not sure why you left the crossing=controlled tag instead of changing it to crossing=traffic_signals. crossing=controlled is not documented on the OSM wiki, has just 924 uses worldwide on taginfo, and seems to mean the exact same thing as crossing=traffic_signals, so I think it should not be used and maybe eventually eliminated.
