Path exists and it seems to be a regularly used downhill-mountainbiking track. I just walked it coming from north-west but it turns south halfway and connects to the road parallel and north of the "Ulmkebach" (and did not seem to continue to the east).

Did you maybe only check the path from the eastern side?
