Ok. Thanks.

Ah ok. Ya I've been trying to map all these back roads as I drive them to correct their road type, surface, lanes, speed, etc. That probably makes a difference. I still see a lot of problems where sometime applications will avoid fixed roads because the real speed is less than whatever the default is if it's not listed. That's just a matter of getting more mapped. Sometimes I've been taken down roads by a GPS that are so bad that they are just single lane dirt service roads, so I map them accordingly so that GPS won't use them unless needed. GPS navigation isn't very useful if it tries to take you down a road that is really just a service roads that needs 4 wheel drive. Most of the rural areas seem to lack a lot of properly mapped roads since the cities got most of the attention.

Ok. I can remove those if they are a problem, or if it hasn't already been done. It was because it seemed like many applications didn't use the roads correctly. Is there a better way to do that?

I'm not sure if they are or not. I just know that I have seen them there a number of times. It might just be a common checkpoint location, like Rt8 going North into Franklin.

I liked editing a lot of the area in the Allegheny National Forest a couple years ago since I camp a lot up there. I'd like to do more, and maybe correct any issues there, but I don't have a lot of time to do it with my business to run.

I just tried that big long PEMA url. It does work a lot better. Does it need offset adjustments when using it or is PEMA pretty accurate? Hopefully they add that to iD soon.

What editor do you typically use? I just reinstalled JOSM, but I need to get used to it because I'm not familiar with the interface.

I did notice some possible offset from the one GPS trace that goes into the parking lot, but wasn't sure if I should trust it because of turning issues with GPS traces typically. I always use the iD editor, what do I need to use to get the PEMA imagery? That would be a lot nicer than using the ESRI imagery.

The Paramotor marker was just put there by me since I was interested in flying paramotors and wanted to mark possible safe landing areas near gas stations for pilots to refuel. Sort of a side thing I have been doing, even though rare.

Ya I have been debating with myself on the idea of marking individual trees with an area, or with a point tagged "tree". I've done both, but I'm not sure what I like most yet. I edited the entire Barkeyville area and did a lot of it there, but then started doing some points as well. Some software doesn't show the tree points, but then does show the areas, so that's the issue I have noticed.

I have also been trying to clean up the rural roads a lot, since they are a mess. The cities are typically nice, but not many people care about the countryside. Mainly just because the level of mappers out here is very low.

Which area and edits are you referring to? What is the offset problem? I typically try to overlay the background with gps traces.

Will do, I can get it deleted. I wasn't sure if there was a way to map that or if it was even practical to map on OSM.

I may have deleted the wikidata accidently, but I don't think I was able to edit the info with it there. I'll see if I can re-add it.

Ya, they should be separate camp sites.

Is there a way t do it properly without creating that separate line on the outer edge and just keep it like a regular area. It makes it impossible to select a road that has a multipolygon joining against it.

I noticed you fixed the multipolygon issue I was having. Thanks for the help. I'll study what you did there and use that as a model for how I do it from now own.

Will do. I'll keep that in mind for future updates. I'll also inform the app developer that they have a display problem and see if they can get it fixed.

Hey PlaneMad, thanks for the comment. The reasoning behind it was basically from an error I found in some apps. The airports show up correctly on the website, but in some apps, the detailed editing I did to the airports (grass, trees, scrub, etc) is all covered by the airport area polygon. I checked some other local airports and saw that they were done as points instead of areas. That seemed to be the proper solution to the error that some apps have displaying the airports. Let me know if that helps.
