A while ago since I've done these, so I'll have a more thorough check over them later; however they should either be where there are dropped kerbs to allow for crossing, or the most natural crossing points on that path.

Lots of routing engines don't make leaps from Roads to pavements, so it seems to me good practice to add in the unmarked crossings so there's plenty of intersecting nodes for routing.

Please feel free to add more detail to them if you can.

Thank's for doing this, have been meaning to get round to it for a while.

You are correct, this does appear to be a car park in the more recent Bing imagery (I had used the ESRI and didn't double check when I was walking around there).
I have quickly changed it and added a service road, but you may want to go over it again and see if you can improve it.
