And for your examples about Tiergarten and Kensington, Tiergarten actually has a lot of forest parts in it (forest according to definition of natural=wood or landuse=forest) so that's correct. Kensinton is definitely incorrect, but most of those forests are mapped 9+ years ago and never changed. So I think it's not the wiki that is outdated practice...

And if you check Keskuspuisto in Helsinki, you will see that it is largely mapped as natural=wood because it is a forest.

They provide information - just the wrong one! I have also noticed that the same mistake has been repeated in some other parks, Stephen' Green in Dublin is the best one because drone image of the park is in the leisure=park article explaining how it is not a forest.

Meaning of the tags is defined in the wiki and you can open a proposal to change the meaning of the tag if you want.

However, if you want to draw an area like this, you can ATYL! Or someone has already done that, landcover=trees and I can revert my change and mark them as leafcover if you want.

I also added some of the trees in Marianpuisto, and also added the leaf type. If you have surveyed the trees you could add the genus too.

If the foot and bike parts are not physically separated, they should be mapped as one line and segregated=yes. Same logic applies for road with multiple lanes (or road with a bike lane), if the lanes are not physically separated, it is one OSM object.

And "physical separation" would be curb, fence, grass strip etc.

In general very good work! But I wouldn't use natural=wood to represent groups of trees in a park. I think it's best to use landuse=grass and tree nodes, instead of mapping the leaf canopy of trees.

(natural=wood would mean forest with no forestry management, so the ground level should look like a forest floor too)

I think they look good. Only thing that you could remove tags from the outer (or inner) way, like way/93480499 and move them to the relation relation/1358715

I'm pretty sure it works that way on relation buildings, same way as with other relations.

If the data is licensed under CC-BY-4.0 it is not compatible with OSM:s ODbL license *unless* you get the city to sign a boilerplate waiver document.

If I recall correctly dremdau has obtained this waiver from Tampere for the aerial imagery, but I dont know if it covers any other data.

Okei, mielenkiintoista. Tämä onkin vähän sekava homma. Wikissä tuo highway=* tagin tarve on kyllä ihan yksiselitteisesti vaadittu, mutta toisaalta jos katsoo taginfosta niin vain 25%:lla ice_road=* on highway=* joten käytäntö ei tunnu yhtään seuraavan speksiä.

So you should also add name:fi=Mustalahti to this object, and keep name=Mustalahti as default name.

Okei, nämä paikat kuitenkin ovat olemassa, joten kartoittamisessa ei sinällään ole mitään estettä (en tiedä miksi TAYS haluaa pitää osan osastoista salaisuutena).

Noiden sairaalan osastojen tai poliklinikoiden kartoittamiseen kuitenkin liittyy sellainen "ongelma" että en ole ihan varma mikä olisi sopiva tag niile. amenity=clinic tarkoittaa ensisijaisesti siis itsenäistä klnikkaa, erotuksena amenity=hospital 'ista. Mutta nämä lienevät enemmän sairaalan osia tai osastoja, joille ei kuitenkaan ole vakiintunutta tagirakennetta.

Huomasin myös tämän changesetin jossa olit poisanut Taysin toiveesta sisäkäytävän. Käytävä kuitenkin on olemassa, joten poiston kumoaminen + access-tagien lisääminen on oikea tapa. changeset/152375527

Moi, onko noiden poliklinikoiden poistolle joku syy? Nopeasti katsottuna nuo kyllä edelleen toimivat taysissa, ja muitakin sairaalan toimintoja on kartoitettu nodeina.
