I am from LTA, the junction will be open prior to the implementation of the new svc 104 on 26/10/25. I need to download the road with the changes made for testing and routing purposes, kindly do not change back.

Hi Jason, yes Lim Chu Kang Rd will be realigned wef 08/06/25. Reason being that it was updated earlier is because we need to download the affected changes prior before its implementation. I have already downloaded the map with the changes, you can change it back, but pls remember to update it to the new alignment.

Again, making the slip road under construction, you are making vehicle unable to left turn! Make the junction to facilitate left turn!

By labelling the the slip road under construction, do you know buses are unable to turn left? You should at least make the junction to facilitate left turn!

The road on the left leads to the drop off point and taxi stand, the entrance on the right leads to Yio Chu Kang Int. The signage showing for authorised vehicles is for the Interchange.

Hi attili1,
The signboard is referring to the road entrance to Yio Chu Kang Int, the small road on the left is for vehicles to enter. Kindly open the street view in Google map to see again.

There is a taxi stand and drop off point for cars along this road, why did you removed the access to motor vehicle?

Mith252, kindly refrain from removing the road network into Yishun Temp Int as it is currently being used as a layover & parking area for Yishun ITH buses. I have placed no access with bus-yes tag to it. I am from LTA.

Hi Jinal Foflia,

The issue of tagging bus interchanges access=no, bus=yes would be ok, as I have tested in our system recently. The reason I need to highlight is, recently when you guys made all interchanges access=no, not all are tagged with bus=yes, which caused problems to our bus routing in our system.

Five years back when we started utilising Osm for our system, there were no restrictions imposed for interchanges, gradually more and more mappers came in and started to make access restrictions at customs and cargo freight areas, which created many problems for us. Roads also suddenly became no access when there are plyed by buses.

As my job scope in LTA is not a full time mapper, I do not constantly keep track of changes in Osm, I can only implement quick fixes when problem arises for the system and test out better solutions when time is permitted.

Lastly, going forward, kindly do not tag roads access=no to all, without bus=yes, when buses are plying there.

Kindly go and check how bus service 248 travel, it is u- turning at this junction, before asking me why I removed the u - turn restriction.

Hi Poornima, firstly, all the interchanges were suddenly tagged as no access to all, there wasn't any tag of bus access. This caused problem to our system, i am currently testing out whether tagging as bus access will work or not. Then may I know why are tagging all interchanges as no access to all? This is incorrect, certain vehicles are allowed in interchanges. Are they downloading the Osm for certain navigation system?

Hi Poornima, this is the bus route based on PTOs information, this is how the bus route which is currently being operated. As I have informed you, I am from LTA, may I know where are you from? Grab Singapore? If this is so, kindly give me your company contact in pm. I will official write to your company management.

Hi Poornima, I am from LTA and is currently using OSM for some system. If the road is tagged as no access for all vehicle type, it restrict bus routing from entering interchanges. That is why, the roads cannot have restrictions such as no access. Hope it clarifies, thanks.
