| 175118699 | 16 days ago | Hello fellow mapper! Congratulations on the many features you added in your changesets. Since you add a lot, there is something I should warn you about: although the different aerial photo layers from DGT are named "Orthophoto", originally unfortunately they are not correct, they have an offset. You can verify this, for example, by checking how the roads going North/South and West/East align with a Heatmap layer of GPS data. You can also see throughout the different years that there is a slight different offset whereas they all should align perfectly. Also if you go check the OSM data in Coimbra you will see that it does not align with the original uncorrected DGT aerial Orthophotos because they are actually positioned correctly. If you need a reference, I have roughly corrected the position of the buildings and roads in the area here of Cadima. However it's not perfect since each element has a little misalignment and I needed to move them all together. Hope this helps. Kind regards! |
