Hi hellmap, i need a second opinion on something, plavūpe flows into a drain next to the dougava, should it be considered plavūpe or not, plavupe was there much much longer , but still it just flowed intot he dougava not in thr Location where the drain does

That's nice, but yea the stream connects all the the way to the dougava, so it's atleast 5km long, i walked alongside it for quite a while and part of it is already shown on the map , it also has some minor ditches withch make it much wider in it's lower stretches, plavūpe is actually natural , it's been here for ever, those are kind of rare around Salaspils because the natural ones often get barried or covered especially because the build up of the town happened recently so there are new rodes and houses everywhere witch take the place of the natural streams, plavūpe used to be slightly bigger but in 80s and 90s from what i know houses were built on top of some of it's small tributerys, but the stream survives till this day, it's common to see ditches around here but not streams, i highly suggest following the stream, it's buetiful and the wildife is plentiful, it's good you cant Hunt around these parts

Ok, if you do go there in real life there are sometimes ducks in the stream, and if you go there today be careful there are severe weather alerts for later today!

Ok thanks, the stream is not in a underground pipe however it does go through a few small tunnels ubder driveways

As for the small ditch, i marked it as intermittent, it connects to the plavūpe stream

Hi ,It is there I've been there, it is from what i could gsther a natural small stream, it's course changed quite a bit over time, it's vissable on a few old soviet maps with it's course having altered slightly

Hi, sorry for my mistake i recently started mapping and i made afew mistakes, the reason i chose the name plavūpe is because it is reffered to as this by the locals, plavūpe does not end there but isntead continues underground and continues and goes above ground after passing through the railway and continues through the lake, gathers waters from the 4 pedas lake and continues on word receiving waters from a small un named tributery and then flows into a small ditch witch connects to the dougava river, the small stream is one lf the few natural streams in the area, i scouted out the entire length of plavūpe today about a hour ago, you can also see the stream on old soviet maps . Im a local and live by the ditch so that's the reason it peaks my interest
