My name is Reemal and I am a mapper working on the OSM Mapping Team at Lyft. Thank you for your concern in addressing the temporary tags. I am adding temporary tags for COVID-19 relief efforts in various parts of the country. Adding notes is also not something that I can do, unless the tags are actionable which they are not (this is frowned upon in the OSM community and OSMwiki). Currently in OSM the use of the temporary=yes tag refers to the whole feature, and is normally reserved for construction per OSM wiki Proposed features/temporary tags. Once the restrictions have been lifted, at that time these temporary tags will be removed. Currently there is no exact time frame as all states in the country are in different phases of re-opening. However we are working closely with cities and are proactively notified when the city decides to re-open the streets. I want to assure you we document and maintain a list of each of these tags via changesets and they will be removed once no longer necessary.

“Hi mvexel, I am so sorry for my error, my humble apology. All I was trying to do was align the freeway with Maxar Premium Imagery, I had a look through street side imagery and it still showed construction, I wasn’t aware that the construction had been completed. Moving forward I will be extremely careful in editing freeways in the future. Thank you so much for your positive feedback and correcting the error, I extremely appreciate it.
