Hi Phil,

I'm up there again in a few weeks time and will be noting what is written on the building. There are probably a few in the area that will look wrong either way.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for letting me know, some of the footage I had for the area and was using to cross checkis letting a little dated now:so I’ll leave Shropshire alone until I pass that way again later in the year.

Not sure about Id. In JOSM it’s ctrl-c to copy then shift-ctrl-v on the way to paste.

Hi, is there any way when you delete nodes containing information you can move it onto the relevant way please.

Hello Andy,
I've changed this back to yes based on the original version of the node.

Richard

is it possible to use the section of foot path that crosses the cricket nets or do the two footpaths cross the A509 at the gate and split again on the Stixton side?

Hi, are you sure the footpath through the cemetery is a service road?

Hi, your right there are mistakes.
I've fixed some of these but am wondering how some ended up wrong.

Hi Mauls,

Just wondering why you have reclassified some of these roads (Hinwick Road and Hookhams Path) from Residential to Tertiary?

91787659 about 5 years ago

Hi Phil,

I was unaware of that particular tag until you mentioned it.
It does not show as a preset in the tools I normally use, so I used what seemed the best fit.
I will change this back shortly.

Regard Richard

Hi Phil,
I've set this staff canteen as private.

I'll miss off any more that appear in the FHRS data in future.

This would have been from a drive by over the summer to clear up a few things, it could be what it said on the door or window.

Hi Jerry,

Good to hear from you again.

What's the best way to tag a shop that's empty?
I'd delayed removing the shop tag and name after going passed at Christmas and have just left the address and shop=vacant.

With the 7 Authorities reducing down to 2 at the start of next year, there is no telling what sort of mess FHRS will be around here then.
if you are concerned about adding addresses from FHRS Data unless someone has added them between my regular runs through the data, if it has an FHRS:ID in Northamptonshire it should have an address. it might only be an average of 15% of postcodes in an area but it's better than nothing.

Hi Bernard,

I think I may have reused the changeset note from one earlier in the day.
I may need to revisit these addresses if the proposal at osm.wiki/User:Rjw62/UK_Address_Mapping are taken up as I'm not entirely happy with how I did these addresses originally.

Hi,

Maybe we need tags like addr:village and addr:town for the settlement/locality part of UK addresses, there are already addr:suburb and addr:hamlet. I can see they have been used a few times already.

65098997 about 7 years ago

Hi,

However addresses get tagged outside of large settlements is going to be wrong in someones eyes. As I was the one who originally added most of the addresses in the change set I have made all the addresses consistently wrong.

Looking back through the mailing lists this seems to be an issue that will drag on and on. Officialdom doesn't help as the same organisation will have the same address both ways.

Hi,

Some of the centroids may need to be changed after a survey. For example the building you have added as NN8 4GX is not visible on the ground, the post code seems to be for the first floor of the row of shops that have the post code NN8 4PG.

Hi ndrw6,

Are you just adding postcode centroids or have will you complete the rest of the data later?

Hi Phil,
The tags are flagged as 'Mismatched fhrs:id tags' on the FHRS/OSM comparison tool website.
Some will have new numbers which I will add over the next few weeks as I take each of the remaining 6 local authorities in turn (Wellingborough is already done)
Let me know if you think there is a better way to keep these up to date.
Cheers Richard
