Posted by Pensacola on 19 February 2012 in English (English)

I've been adding housenumbers to my area:

This is a breeze with walking papers, josm and the terracer tool.

Navteq Europe

Posted by Pensacola on 22 December 2011 in English (English)

Every day I cycle by the Navteq Europe B.V building.
This never hit me untill I saw two 'Powered by Navteq' cars coming out of the parking lot.
So I decided to tag it, oh the beautiful irony ;)

A day well spent

Posted by Pensacola on 23 February 2011 in English (English)

Today I added all buildings from Bing to my neighbourhood:
Still lots left to do before Hoogstraten is bingified :)

Bing

Great things come from Microsoft :)
Slow but steady:

Too bad it's no substitute for real mapping, but it sure helps a lot with the details!

Progress

Posted by Pensacola on 6 September 2010 in English (English)

Woohoow, the middle 'hump' of Antwerp is starting to look good in an overview:

The roads are almost covered in Meer/Meerle/Meersel-Dreef, but still lots more detail to add.

New GPS unit

Posted by Pensacola on 16 July 2010 in English (English)

I've bought a brand new Garmin Dakota 20, so expect some improvements in the Meerle region (Belgium) ;)

Location: Meerle, Hoogstraten, Turnhout, Antwerp, 2328, Belgium

Mapping boundaries

Posted by Pensacola on 5 February 2008 in English (English)

I think I've done almost all roads and tracks that are within cycling range of my home. Still bits and pieces left to do, but the main part is done. From now on I'll be taking my GPS with me when I go somewhere and even take a detour, but all will be roads I can go on with my car, no small tracks anymore for me I guess...

Started mapping Neerpelt

Posted by Pensacola on 31 January 2008 in English (English)

I've started mapping Neerpelt, in the northeastern corner of Belgium, still lots of road to cover though...
