| 188468595 | ok, I put them in typically for addresses that i go to, that aren't in OSM (as i use Osmand). So for local survey, just put source: "Local Survey"? There are othertimes i will sit with the person who lives there and ad the adress from their knowledge and looking at the ID3 editors satellite imagery. what should i put that in as? For the overture buildings, i review them individually and either use them if they are good enough, or trace a new shape. Should i still put in the source if i have QA'd the shapes? Silly me - i will stop adding that country. That is a very good point. sumamry:

| 188468595 | Hi Joel - I followed the tagging guidelines for Australian addr (osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines/Australian_features#Addresses), i can see that there is conjecture whether addr:suburb should be included or not however it concludes with .... ... scratch that, i can see where i misread that it should be included. I agree - I will go through y previous changes and remove the suburb. addr-osm-insert is a small tool that helps me add adrdesses, things like importing overture shapes for the location and apply an address to it, and a helper to draw a building outline (tracing from the OSM compatable satellite that is used in the ID editor) by enforcing right angles for any shape drawn. I made the helper as i hate manually creating addresses, and use it to add addresses of friends and places i go to. |
