Fair point. I've changed the name back. It made most sense as it was.

Yes, cases like this are tricky as there's no official name as far as I know. Probably the best (most practical) way to name it would be the way people refer to it in real life. I would call it the "site of the former High Marnham Power Station". Calling it "High Marnham" on its own might suggest it's the village.

Yes, the source for the shape of the wood was Bing. I'll add that as a source. I've been past recently, which is what prompted me to map this area, but I couldn't say about the new access road. Another thing to watch for next time.

A bit of lazy mapping there. Apologies. I've amended it so the path is separate from both the field and the gardens.

Good work. Looking more carefully, the cover right in the bottom, to the west of the TPT looks like hawthorn-type shrubs, so probably doesn't merit a wood tag.
I remember reading in a paper that the Hopkinson site was being redeveloped into (yet another) golf course and the current waste management scheme was part of the package to level the topography. I was 50/50 on whether to put landfill or construction. I guess we'll wait until signs of any golf course emerge before changing it. I think the same applied to the north end of the site.
Re: the bounds of Renishaw Park, I know from experience that the golf course (first 9 holes) is part of the park. The rest is partly from aerial imagery and partly my dad's local knowledge (a lifetime visiting collieries to work on electric substations). The boundary definitely needs further refinement.

Well spotted. I knew it was there from driving past but didn't notice it had already been mapped next door. I'll remove it.

The source here is Bing, yes. It looks like the previous shape for Bridgefield Wood only went up to a footpath which runs N/S through the middle of it. The western portion running up to Halfacre Lane was missing. At least that's how it looks. Maybe I'll mark it as something requiring confirmation.

Didn't know about that. Thanks. I'm slowly getting these working right.

Well spotted. It does look a little sloppy there. I'll add more nodes to make it follow the canal better. Although I've added fields and drains and so on in this area, there really isn't much detail down yet. As you say, it might be better to leave things like the hedges and paths to someone who's visited and has more insight into it. The towpath may well be part of a longer route for example. If I find the time for a canal walk of course...

Hello. I have it down as a residential house. It has a bit of an unusual plot shape but I didn't note anything commercial-looking there.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry. Please feel free to revert the two changesets (now three) if you think that's the best way forward. Sorry again for the trouble.

Well spotted at the southern edge. I made a correction. I don't have info on gates / hedges unfortunately except from Bing.
