The names of bus stops have to match the sign. They are pulled from the GTFS database from the ministry of transportation. Please let me know if the name on the sign is different from the one mapped.

Bus stop name tags must reflect the name as it appears on the sign and in navigation apps (Egg, Moovit, etc.). What name appears on the bus stop sign?

The same thing as changeset/172229023 happened again, you added the tag with :IL-MOT. Can you think of any idea how to improve your workflow so this doesn't happen in the future?

אז בעיקרון הכניסות יהיו level=2 או משהו כזה. אני חושב שיש 2 קומות מתחת לקומת הכניסה.

אני באמת לא בטוח איך נכון לתייג את זה. כשגרתי שם והזמנתי משלוח, כתבתי קומה מינוס 1, כלומר הנחתי שקומת הכניסה היא קומה 0 וקומות שמתחתיה יהיו שליליות. אני לא זוכר אם הקומות היו ממוספרות (לא הייתה מעלית).

אם, לצורך דוגמה, יש בניין בן 5 קומות שיש לו כניסה רק בקומה האמצעית, איך לדעתך נכון לתייג אותו?

במבט חטוף כאן, כנראה שהקומה התחתונה ביותר שיש לה חלון/דלת היא זו שתחשב קומה 0: building:levels=*

שכחתי לומר, מספיק אחד מהשניים:

highway=bus_stop

או

public_transport=platform
bus=yes

אבל כאמור, הם לא היו. הבלבול הוא נפוץ כי בעברית אומרים "תחנת אוטובוס" והתרגום הטבעי הוא "bus station", ולא "bus stop".

התיוג של התחנה הקיימת היה:

וזה תיוג שמתאים יותר לתחנה מרכזית (הייבוא עדיין לא טוב מאוד בתחנות מרכזיות). תחנת אוטובוס בודדת צריכה להיות מתויגת עם:

highway=bus_stop
public_transport=platform
bus=yes

ואם היא הייתה מתוייגת כך, הייבוא היה משתמש בה.

כנראה צריך לעשות חיפוש יותר יסודי לתחנות אוטובוס כאלה בארץ. חשבתי שעשיתי את זה, אבל כנראה פספסתי. תודה על ההודעה שלך!

This is because it was less than 3 meters from its official position. See: osm.wiki/Gtfs2osm#Position

השינויים שעשית לא היו מהותיים מדי בכל מקרה.

At this stage gtfs2osm only synchronizes bus stops, not routes. I'm not sure yet how to tackle route import/sync, it is a much bigger challenge. Instead I spent some efforts improving PTNA: osm.wiki/Public_Transport_Network_Analysis

Size is not an issue. Israel has some 30k bus stops and the script handles it gracefully. I think even 170k is not going to be an issue, save for OSM rate limits.

If the GTFS data is reliable enough, the script can effectively import it the first time it's ran, and thereafter just keep OSM updated whenever new GTFS data is available.

In this changeset and in changeset/172102990 you accidentally used the tag gtfs:stop_id:IL-MOT 3 times. This seems to be because the gtfs:stop_id tag already existed for those elements, so I guess the autocomplete filled in the next most common tag with that prefix when you tried to add the stop_id.

I'll remove the tags, just letting you know about the mistake so you can avoid it in the future :)

P.S. The gtfs:stop_id:IL-MOT tag is filled and used by osm.wiki/Gtfs2osm , which is used in Israel. It's a script that I run daily (when I remember) to update bus stops data. Do you think this would be useful for your region as well?
