I was following the advice of the wiki, which advises that the "addr:suburb" be used as the catch-all tag for places more local than the postal town: osm.wiki/Addresses_in_the_United_Kingdom

"The addr:suburb tag should be used in cases where the address includes a sub area to the major location/postal town. This sub area could be a hamlet, village, town or an area of within a larger settlement."

Hi Tom, just a quick apology as I now see you've told me this multiple times but I've never seen any changeset comments on my profile until today. Thanks for the advice and I'll change these going forward.

Hi Mateusz, I've just checked online and it used to be a second-hand industrial machinery shop, but it looks like this business has now closed since the 2021 edit; the business seems to still exist but doesn't seem to have a presence here anymore. I can do a survey next week when I'm next in Stockport and confirm this.
