| 133391936 | over 2 years ago | Hello Yunan973, thanks for the question. Apple has an agreement with Maxar to use their more recent imagery to edit OpenStreetMap, which is not publicly available for editing OpenStreetMap. We generally use the imagery that is already available in JOSM but where we do use that more recent imagery, we always cite it and the date the imagery is from in the changeset source. The imagery shows that the link features (way/35657835 & https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/35657836) no longer provide connectivity between the main lanes highway Rodovia Governador Mário Covas (way/821828876 & https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/821828872) as there is a median that blocks the former configuration shown in older imagery. It appears that the links on the south side (way/35657836 & https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/35657835) may be disused as well but it is not clear enough in imagery to remove them. If you are local to the area and have knowledge of them being taken out of use, it would be a big help if you could remove them or add the appropriate tagging (disused:*=*). Also it looks like some better alignment of the roads can be done here with Strava GPS traces. I will do that now. Thanks and have a nice day. |
| 131507212 | almost 3 years ago | Hello InsertUser, thank you for reaching out. Upon further investigation of the bridge you mentioned, the resource I cited may have been a bit dated to remove the construction tags here. Thank you for setting this back to construction. |
| 130329570 | about 3 years ago | Hello Joseph R P. I changed this section from way/124533303 to way/172122193 back to trunk after looking at the history and some ground imagery (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=10.6453949679&lng=-61.5029885061&z=17&pKey=523799202123169&focus=photo) against the available aerial imagery. A user that cited local knowledge and a survey set it to trunk in changeset/90658909. The change in classification at these two points mentioned above had similar road characteristics on either side and seemed arbitrary end points for a motorway.
However, I see that in the article you mentioned that it will change in form and use in the near future. I will change back to your classification of motorway. Thanks for pointing this out and happy mapping! |
