Hi Kav, based on what I could see the access tag hadn't been set on that path previously. I'd assume that the trails app is, therefore, defaulting to showing the path. If the path was set with access=private and All Trails said somebody could use it, then it feels like something to All Trails should fix.

I wasn't planning on doing anything to stop the changes, so it should have been removed from the main database by now. But potentially somebody else might comment on this changeset. It also possible that somebody else might spot the path isn't there in future and just add it back in - so the problem might reoccur. So keep an eye out for that.

Hi Kev, Welcome to Openstreemap.

Where trails are on private property the normal process would be to retain the trail, but tag them with access=private. The map renders can then display them differently (or hide them) and any routing software can ignore them.
