| 115066671 | over 3 years ago | Hi Rafael Takagui Sandrini, thanks for mapping! I noticed you and other mappers using hashtags #opensidewalks #opensidewalks-lapa #AI4Accessibility have added “barrier=kerb” tags in this area. Some of those barriers intersect vehicle navigable roads in several places such as: node/8035402810, node/9347105448, and node/9347061003. This means they will block any car or truck routing at those locations. I think you are trying to map places where there are curbs for sidewalks or crosswalks and I noticed OSM policy for “barrier=kerb” (barrier=kerb) says “Combining with highway=crossing is usually a mistake; include kerb=* on the crossing node, but *not* barrier=kerb as there will usually not be a kerb across the major highway, though there could be a traffic_calming=table”. So I am wondering if the “barrier=kerb” nodes that intersect with vehicle navigable highways such as (node/9344910938) could be updated to one of the values at kerb=*? If so we can change them to kerb=yes and then you can add the appropriate type. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions! |

| 114795045 | over 3 years ago | Hi Regina Cohen, thanks for mapping! I noticed you and other mappers using hashtags #opensidewalks #opensidewalks-lapa #AI4Accessibility have added “barrier=kerb” tags in this area. Some of those barriers intersect vehicle navigable roads in several places such as: node/9376648932, and node/7960181995,https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/9354077874. This means they will block any car or truck routing at those locations. If so we can change them to kerb=yes and then you can add the appropriate type. Some of the nodes that were edited to "barrier=kerb" were previously “highway=crosswalk" which might be better suited as that since there does not appear to be a kerb intersecting the road, an example is (node/7960181995). Please see the osm crossing wiki crossing=*. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions! |
