Thanks for the clarification and suggestions, I’ll be sure to keep seasonality and vegetation in mind.

Thank you for the advice on this, it seems like this would be a good opportunity to update the wiki if you think it could be improved. A lot of people use this resource for guidance. Would you be willing to add clarification either to this page or on the Denmark page about piers modeling?

Hi Hjart, I’m not sure I follow which area you’re referring to. For this alignment I used SDFE Terrain Shadow Nap and SDFE aerial imagery based on your suggestion to update the edge of this moat. Is there a node you could link so I can see exactly where it might be inaccurate?

Hi Hjart, thanks for reaching out. I was following OSM wiki guidelines here (man_made=pier#How_to_map) about connecting piers to coastline. To me, in this instance it made sense to make the connection to land so it’s not floating in water. I can understand how it could go the other way too - happy to hear your suggestion for this case.

I appreciate your feedback and help on this, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind going forward.

Hi Hjart, Thank you for adjusting the water feature, I will definitely check the SDFE terrain shadow map (LIDAR) layer when editing water, thanks!

Hi fiscal, thanks for reaching out.
I reviewed all imageries here and found that the water level represented the average high water level (waterway=riverbank#Varying_water_level_river).
It sounds like you’re suggesting the previous alignment is the highest water level. Based on the vegetative growth here it doesn’t seem like that water level is very common other than flooding scenarios which is why I realigned in this case. I’m happy to change it back if you think otherwise.
