As there was no place= node for Ridgehill, I assumed it was an error in the same way addr:suburb=Rothwell was. Thank you for adding the missing node, I have chosen to upgrade it to hamlet as there are a handful of houses here.

Please do not glue landuse/amenities to roads - the nursery area should end at the property boundary. Connecting it to the road centreline is not accurate and makes it a lot harder for other editors to change in the future. Thanks.

Looks like there are 40,000 uses of addr:subcounty in Uganda, and nowhere else in the world. I found the boundary for Parts of Lindsey just by using the query features tool and it's one of the enclosing boundaries here, similarly there is one for Parts of Kesteven here relation/11977556. If the boundary is incorrect, would be good to raise that on the forums with a proper source so that it could be corrected (or duplicated if there are 2 different versions that existed). I'm not sure about counties and subcounties being part of addresses, as from what I can see they stopped being used in 1996.

Hi, you've recently introduced addr:subcounty into the UK, from what I can see addr:subcounty=Lindsey refers to this relation relation/11977557? If it is the case, you don't need to add the tags to every address as it can be automatically derived from admin boundaries, the same applies to addr:county and addr:country. I'm just concerned about the time spent adding all these tags which are redundant due to the implied spatial relationship with any surrounding admin areas.

The reason I reverted this changeset is because myself and other contributors raised concerns and queries on the forums about the address 'standardisation' you have been undertaking - instead of continuing to engage with this discussion and find a consensus, you have decided to steamroll ahead with these mass edits. I find that extremely disrespectful and disappointing. Such edits are, in my opinion, damaging and I don't appreciate being told to act in good faith and to engage in discussion when this is exactly what I have attempted to do on the community forums, only to find that you have not addressed feedback that was raised and continued these edits.

addr:place is not correct for the Ringway Centre - from the wiki "addr:place is meant to be used when the address does not reference a street at all." - clearly, if Beck Road is in the address, addr:place is not appropriate. Changing addr:street to addr:parentstreet is just a sticking plaster to resolve the validator warning of addr:street and addr:place on the same object, but fundamentally perpetuates the same logical error.

I did not see that you also removed addr:town in this changeset (it was not mentioned in your changeset comment and 7600 objects modified is extremely difficult to review). That gives even more reason why the tags should not have been removed - multiple other mappers have made a conscious decision to add these hierarchical address tags to distinguish whether the settlement recorded in the address is a town or village. By removing the tag, you removed all this nuance, of course without any discussion. Comparing phone to contact:phone is not relevant here, as addr:village, addr:town and addr:suburb are not the same just because they might appear in the same place on an envelope.

There are 1800 addressed objects in the UK that use addr:village and addr:hamlet in combination - therefore these tags are both necessary to exist. (It is not possible to represent such a situation with addr:suburb only). It therefore logically follows, that if addr:village must exist, it should be used in all cases where a village is present in the address, rather than sometimes using addr:village and other times using addr:suburb. It also matches up more neatly with the hierarchy of place= tags in the UK and is more straightforward for data consumers to understand.

Thanks for adding the bus-only right turn onto Moor End Road, I have adjusted the junction further to reflect the fact that it is also left-turn only out of Moor End Road. I noticed you have been doing a few edits around Hemel recently, I have recently done a lot of realignment and correction of the roads and will be working on filling in buildings soon, so if there's anything that doesn't look right or has since been changed (I was mapping with multiple year old Bing imagery), please let me know.

Reverted - continued incorrect retagging of addr:street to addr:parentstreet - addr:place is the incorrect tag in these cases

Reverted - you do not get to deprecate a tag and remove over 7000 examples of it just because you don't like it

Reverted - 'Cressex Business Park' is clearly not a suburb, and you are also unnecessarily changing addr:street to addr:parentstreet in a number of cases.

I have standardised to motor_vehicle=no + bus=designated along the sections that are bus only, and I have removed bus=yes from the sections of Bridge Street that aren't restricted (it isn't necessary to add bus=yes to normal roads)
