Hello damjang, you are absolutely right about the village/hamlet definition. The change was made due to practical reasons and readability of the map, which is, in my opinion, far more important for the user than the semantics. You see, the map around Cerovlje is filled with toponims which reflect the local tradition and history (and should not be removed). Using the field type hamlet leads to identical font style, size and priority of the village name and the toponims in that area - the users may not be able to identify the village name at all. Summing up: you are right about the definitions, but I think in this occasion an exception would advantage the users. If you still think that hamlet is better, you are welcome to change it back :) Cheers!
